I have two layers of regular fiberglass screen and a top layer of tiny
mesh super screen. I cut a circle of foam from a Kraft store about 3/16"
thick. Spray painted it black and place it between top layer of super
screen and the regular fiberglass screen. The drums are super quiet now.
Cuts the stick noise in half.
I purchased the foam at a craft store. I used a band
saw to slice it into about 3/16" strips. Then cut into circles.
I have two layers of regular fiberglass window
screen sewn on the copper tubing
Now I put on a circle of the craft store foam.
You don't need this foam, but I found it cuts the stick noise in half.
You will notice in the video below how quiet they are. It will look
better in the end if you spray paint the circle of foam black.
Now I put on a layer of Superscreen. When the
Super screen eventually wears through, you just have to replace the top
layer of super screen and not have to replace the screen on the copper.
